US or ASIAN SLIM PS3?

murag same lang ata sila dvd playback(?) lang ata difference r3 ang asian r1 ang u.s., blu ray same sila region A, games region free. asian ako mag 4 years april 2007 nako napalit.

This is a though one.

I don't know how to really answer this,
since I have never owned an "asian" Ps3 unit.

But Ps3 Bluray games are region free (everybody knows this)
so there shouldn't be an issue in regards to playing games,
but I think the service warranty from SONY itself could
and would be different, if something was to happen to your
"asian" unit, SCEA repair and services support, won't accept it.
It must be sent to an SONY asian repair center, due to the warranty
jurisdiction.
And also, although I am not sure of this, there might be a
possible limitation in regards to DVD playback to your asian Ps3 unit.
Where it is limited to the kind and amount of DVDs it can play.
Once again, I am not sure of this, and am too tired and sleepy (Sunday nite here) to look it up and research it. lol.

So Pogzy, you will need to do your thorough research on this matter,
before you proceed with purchase, such as warranty,
is very important.

And in regards to whether you should buy from xxx_cy or Datablitz,
I suggest going with the "mall product". Since it comes
from a licensed seller and distributor, even if it's asian,
and that 320gb Ps3 Slim is a sweet arse deal, is it the PS Move edition? As in, it comes with the PS Move?
But, even having said that, sir Jun's units are USA.
So....if your fond of that stuff, then it might be important to
you enough, to go and purchase one from him.

sugod sugod na pud na imo unit bry. heheheh. dira pud nag sugod ako. although in fairness...the only games I remember na naga freeze and restart ako ps3 kay GOW3(recently), KZ2 & KZ3 and uncharted 2. everything else works fine. on my part, after doing some tests I'm hoping it's a firmware issue. nag ac:bro and mvc3 ko ug taman katong weekend and wala man nag restart or freeze jud. sobra 24hours pud naka on ako ps3 atoh.

unta naa bago firmware soon. di nako gusto i give up akong phat ps3. sayang kaau.

@bele: sa kz3 to ngsugod aq, pero after 1 month tanan games na jud. hantud 2ng friday dli na muandar. hehe. fasten your seatbelt and hope for the best nlng ta ani. hehe.

come to think of it, sa kz3 pud ko naka experience ug crashes ug freezing, kaso dli lng mg restart akua, ako pa mu manual ug reset. sauna halos kada adlaw mg freeze tungod sa browser. pero sukad ng fw update last year wala na ng hang up until kz3. karun wala nko gadula kz3, wala napud naga hang.. unta dli pud mghang sa socom4. *crosses fingers*

nagdula ko gow3 gabii wala man nag freeze. dili pud ko magdula kz3 sunod na kung gh na na. unta naay firmware bago bitaw. di pa ko gusto magasto pud palit ug new unit.
