I heard there will be a Toys R Us store at the new Abreeza mall.
That must be exciting news for ya'all guys, as it will have the special pre-order editions that the gaming chains here in the USA carry. And I see it competing in terms of sales of video games with Datablitz there. And probably they will have a majority of R1/Region 1/NTSC Ps3 games stocks, since their main HQ and supplier is in the USA! Heck, a Toy's R Us branch in Davao is great news! Though, am a bit skeptical, if they will have competing prices with Datablitz. But we'll see. I get some of my pre-order games from Toys R Us.

unta itech mag open ug shop diri sa davao mao lang ni ug db ang akong nakita having competitive pricing sa console gaming department. i got a feeling na ang toys r us davao will sell above market price sa ilang console gaming stuff like toy kingdom. ug unta naay mag open na audio/video store na competitive ang pricing like theater works or sights and sound gasto man gud mag ship ug mga av stuff mahal pud mga presyo sa current shops diri ug the usual lang pud na mga brands ang gina carry wala man lang mga wharfdale or mission speakers or denon, h/k or onkyo na avr koy makita diri puro HTIB akong makita kadalasan kung naa man mga receivers sa sm overpriced pud. lami mag dula rock band kung ayos ang sound system.

I agree with ya there buddy. I also got that feeling, that Toys R Us might, just might be slightly overpriced than Datablitz, but heck, am not sure. But I do think their stocks will be majority R1/NTSC and that may pre-order them exclusive pre-order editions from them, that only Amazon, Best Buy, Gamestop and Toys R Us have.

It took me awhile to set up a pretty sweet surround sound system over here at my crib, but once I did,
I never wanted to jam on RB/GH or any other epic sounding game on standard HDTV speakers ever again....

I suggest that you start with cheap Insignia receivers ($50-$80), to go along with some 80ohms speakers and 16 gauge speaker wire. Bose is pretty solid, Polk too, if you want something a lil more high end.

How much do receivers and speaker systems in Davao usually go for? And what brands they got there?

im still using my 4 year old 5.1 audio set up an onkyo avr and wharfdale speakers. didnt bought it in davao though since most of the stuff being sold here are HTIBs and stand alone receivers being sold here in a music store in nccc and sm appliance are way too overpriced by like $200-$300 compared to prices in manila. i usually buy av stuff here http://pinoydvd.com
