JTAG? Questions of a noob..

Who knows some information on Jtagging an xbox 360? I have lots of questions. Here are some:

What is Jtag?
What are its benefits?
What are the possible consequences of Jtagging a unit?
Can all units/models be modified?
Is it risky?
Is it worth it?
Do you know someone in Davao who has a JTAG unit?
Do you know someone in Davao who knows how to do it?

Medyo noob ang questions, medyo wala jud koy idea aning Jtag.. Tabang mga experts!

Well jtag is like a psp running on a cfw, yes its very worth it, you can run homebrews and other apps play the latest games without updating the firmware and also you can play all the leaked games hehe. You can use it also for business. No need to use the dvd rom since you run all games in iso ripped format. You can mod a game that you want, FREE DLC, no region lock. Can have an hdd as big as 1TB/usb slot. Not all xbox 360 can be jtagged.
Requirements:
-console must have 7371 dashboard below.
-has a hackable nand.
As to my knowlege there are two person here in davao who owns a jtag
manuel/cartek of gametek who owns 3-4 jtags and dr.hacking. But manuel sells jtag and also does some repair on all current consoles

nice! salamat sa info selectstart! well, im not really familiar with the hardware aspects of my 360.. complicated na kaayo sa akoa ang details ana, i don't even know what a hackable NAND is! hehe..

i sure want a jtagged console.. naa daghan sa greenhills na nagapabayad ug jtag services sauna, wa lang jud ko kalugar ug hapit didto before ko ningbalik ug davao.. mao ni run, kinahanglan na mangita ug tao na kabalu ug mga ingyana diri.. kana si sir manuel/cartek, nagaJtag ba? willing ko mubayad, kung reasonable ang price.. hehe..

Usualy kung imong xbox karon has updated dashboard na dili na ma jtag na..pero pwede ka makapalit ana kay sir manuel pero per order basis since ang jtag sa pilipinas limited nalang karon and naga dugay naga taas ang presyo.

Yeap +1 for yuudai.. If you buy at DB karon. Chances are jasper or slim unhackable na ang dvd rom ana.. Dili na maka play ug copied games

aw... so kung modded ang imong xbox di naka dyud ka maka xbox live ana miski orig imong cd??? n maka play ba gihapon ug games kung sa xternal nimu e butang game ky sa mag cd ka???

Depende pud kung ang fw sa imong dvd rom kay litetouch maka live jud ka..hehe.wut do u mean by external?

kung flashed na imong box sunod naa kay balak mag live, I think naa tung trick na gamitan nimo'g stealth patch ang mga dula nimo. Not sure after Kinect dash update.

Jtag boxes have 4 hours to play on live then get banned.

ack! pwede diay na sa usb na lang basahun ang games? unsaon man na boss selectstart?! dvd gihapon ko, unya kung frequent na jud nako ginadula, install to hard disk and play from hdd na dayun.. pero play from USB drive? unsa na, maread na niya ang ISO?

@xycle:allowed man sa MS ang pag gamit ug usb flashdrive or card reader to be used for game saves and game installs. Basta ang usb FD kay 16gb limit lang jud. Gi faceout na man gud nila ila memory card kay gi allow ni ang 3rd party usb FD support. Tanawa sa slim wala nay MC slot hehe.

@Selectstart: Paunsa iconvert to xbox 360 format ang usb FD? naa ko external HD pwede ba iconvert para sa xbox arcade?

Pwede bro.. Just connect it sa xbox 360 then go to system settings then naka butang didto about iformat ang external memory para maging compatible with the xbox. The only con is maski naa kay 1tb na hdd/fd kay ang i format lang jud niya para maging usable sa xbox is upto 16gb. Ang remaining kay for pc etc. Use nalang nimo.

Kung di nya madetect ang FD/HD? guba ang usb sa xbox? heheheh
I tried FD na 2 Gb and 320 Gb Seagate external HD di na detect...

ambot lanh..not all man jud fd/hd pwede.naay uban brand dili. fat 32 na?or ntfs format?
